Terms and Conditions

In order to offer as much information as possible, and answer some of our customers common questions, we’ve compiled a Terms and Conditions page. Whilst we keep our services as straight forward as possible, we’d like to share the following information to help you make informed decisions before we start.

  • Matthew Grieg Rendering (“the Contractor”) agrees to carry out rendering services as detailed in the written quotation. Any additional work requested by the Client will be quoted separately

  • We use only approved silicone, monocouche, and EWI systems. Material specifications may vary depending on substrate, weather conditions, and manufacturer guidance.

    • All required scaffolding, towers, barriers, and access equipment are included unless stated otherwise.

    • The Client must ensure clear access to all working areas.

    • Delays caused by obstructions may incur additional charges.

  • We operate in full compliance with:

    • UK Health & Safety at Work Act

    • Working at Height Regulations

    • COSHH

    • Manufacturer installation guidelines

    • Site‑specific RAMS (provided upon request)

    Clients must not interfere with scaffolding or equipment.

  • Rendering is weather‑dependent. Work may be postponed due to:

    • Heavy rain

    • Frost

    • High winds

    • Extreme temperatures

    This ensures material integrity and finish quality

  • Satisfaction Guarantee

    Our Guarantee

    If you are not completely satisfied with the service provided, you must notify us within 24 hours of completion.

    We will return promptly to assess the affected area at no additional cost.

    Complaints raised after 24 hours will not be covered under this guarantee, as environmental factors (such as weather, dust, or particle contamination) may affect the appearance of your render beyond our control.

    Conditions

    The guarantee applies only to the specific fascia’s or areas affected during the scheduled service.

    This guarantee does not cover pre‑existing damage, defective fittings, or issues unrelated to the rendering process.

    Customers must provide clear details of the concern when submitting a complaint.

    How to Raise a Concern

    Contact us by phone, email, or through our website within 24 hours.

    Provide your service date, property address, and a description of the issue.

    Our team will arrange a convenient time to revisit and resolve the matter.

    Rectification Commitment: If you are not satisfied, you must notify us within 24 hours of service completion. We will revisit and assess the affected areas at no extra cost.

    Fair Resolution: This policy ensures that issues are resolved through corrective action rather than financial reimbursement.

    Exclusions: Complaints raised after 24 hours, or issues arising from environmental factors (weather, dust, pollen, bird droppings, etc.), are not covered under this guarantee.

    • A deposit may be required for materials.

    • Balance due upon completion unless otherwise agreed.

    Late payments may incur interest at 4% above base rate

    • Free cancellation with 48 hours’ notice.

    Cancellations within 48 hours may incur a mobilisation fee.

  • We are not liable for:

    • Pre‑existing structural issues

    • Damp caused by internal defects

    • Cracking caused by building movement

    • Damage caused by third parties after completion

    All work is carried out with reasonable skill and care.

    • Silicone render: up to 10 years (manufacturer dependent)

    • Monocouche: up to 5 years

    • EWI systems: up to 25 years (system dependent)

    Warranty excludes damage caused by impact, movement, or neglect

  • All waste generated by rendering works will be removed unless otherwise stated

    • Provide water and electricity where required

    • Ensure pets and children are kept away from work areas

    • Notify neighbours if access is required
